How does the system work?

The Aurea Hybrid add-on can be connected to all modulating and on/off controlled central heating boilers. 
The system consists of three main components: the Aurea 5 R32 heat pump, the Hybrid add-on control box and the Anna thermostat. 
In this hybrid setup, the central heating boiler and the heat pump are used efficiently in the aspects in which they are both strong. 
The central heating boiler heats the home early in the morning (short high energy demand) after which the heat pump takes over to keep the home at the right temperature during the day (constant low energy demand). 

At outside temperatures above 4°C, the heat pump will provide comfortable heat in your home. Your CO2 emissions and gas consumption are greatly reduced. At temperatures below 4°C or heat demand above 55°C, the gas boiler takes over, ensuring comfort. The central heating boiler also provides hot tap water so that you can bathe and shower without a care in the world. Using the smart Anna thermostat, you can perfectly tailor your hybrid system to your comfort requirements.
